Schedule of Classes by Section - (2014 Flower Show) ~ 6th September 2014

 

Once again we would like to give everyone plenty of time to get started on entries for Pilton Flower Show 2014, so here are details of the classes.

Entries will be limited to one per person per class.

Children’s entries should be the child’s own work.

 

Section A: Floral Art

1:  A bridesmaid's hand-held posy
2: ‘Tiny Treasure’, a miniature arrangement, no larger than 4” x 4” x 4”
3:  An exhibit entitled ‘Candlelight’
4: ‘Harvest Festival’ ~ an arrangement of flowers, to include fruit and/or vegetables
5: ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ ~ an arrangement of natural materials, predominantly foliage
6: An arrangement in a small watering can

HELPFUL HINTS FOR FLORAL ENTRIES

Use only quality material - no dead leaves etc.Use flowers that match the theme.
The plant material should dominate the display.The container should complement the arrangement.
No artificial flowers are allowed.Use the colours and materials if they are specified.
Materials do not have to be grown by the entrant.Foliage can be used in all arrangements.
Any Oasis should be covered from view 

Section B: Flowers

9: A vase of 3 herbs

Section E: Home Produce
